At Taboga School, we offer certified sailing courses in Cádiz for all levels: PNB, PER, Yacht Skipper, and Yacht Captain. Our courses combine face-to-face theory with real practices in sailboat in the Bay of Cádiz, with professional instructors and own fleet.
(Titulín) Navigation license
Duration:
6 hours
Schedule:
Friday from 4 to 10 p.m.
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get your Navigation License with Taboga
The Navigation License is an essential qualification to govern pleasure boats up to 6 meters in length and jet skis in daytime navigation, with a maximum distance of 2 miles from a port or shelter.
This license has no expiration and does not require an exam. You only need to attend a 2-hour theoretical course and complete 4 hours of safety and navigation practices, in addition to obtaining a medical certificate from a driver center.

(PNB) Basic navigation pattern

With the title of Basic Navigation Pattern You will be able to navigate boats up to 8 meters in length and sail up to five miles from the coast.

(PER) Skipper of pleasure boats

In person: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The title of Recreational Boat Skipper, or as it is often called, "PER", enables coastal navigation in boats up to 15 meters.
The PER does not require prior licenses or qualifications. To achieve this, you need to pass a multiple choice theoretical exam and do internships at an approved nautical school, such as Taboga.
This title is ideal for carrying out all types of voyages as a boat skipper. It allows you to operate motor and sailing boats, and with proper practices, also jet skis.

(PY) Yacht Skipper

With the title of Yacht Master You'll be able to navigate vessels up to 24 meters in length and sail up to 150 miles from the coast. To obtain this certification, you must have the Recreational Boat Skipper (PER) license and pass the corresponding exam.

(CY) Yacht Captain

With the title of Yacht Captain You'll be able to navigate vessels up to 24 meters in length and sail without a limit on the distance from the coast. To obtain this qualification, you must first hold a Yachtmaster's license and pass several theoretical exams.
